How can you crossplay epic and steam?
Cross-play between Epic and Steam has been removed in the latest Overcooked 2 update. This means that Overcooked 2 will no longer allow you to play with your friend on either one of the platforms. Officially, it is.
But this doesn’t mean that players on the two platforms can’t play with one another. Players on Steam still have the option to cross-play with epic players. To learn more, just follow these instructions!
- Go to your Steam Library.
- Go to Crossplay 2 then right-click it
- A drop-down menu appears
- Select properties- betas- Crossplay branch
- You will be prompted to download the file.
- Once the download is completed Steam players will be able to cross-play easily with Epic players.

This method is not for everyone. It is not possible to play Steam Crossplay 2 and Steam Overcooked 2 together. They are simply incompatible. This implies that if you own a steam crossplay branch of Overcooked 2 and your friend has a regular Overcooked 2, you won’t be able to play together.
