There are two ways to change your Summoner Name in League of Legends. You can change your name through the League of Legends Client. Another option is to change your name for free through the Riot Support Page.  Let’s take a closer look at these options. 

How to change your name in LoL Client: Four steps

To change your name, you will need to pay with in-game currency. You can either pay with Blue Essence or with RP.

Step 1

First, you need to Log into your client. Once you are done click on the LoL shop The top right corner. The shop icon looks similar to three stacks of coins.

Step 2 

If you didn’t screw up on the first step, you should be in the shop, and the client should look something like the picture below. Now you need to Click on the Account Settings in the Shop. The icon looks just like a person wearing one. Gear Behind him.

Step 3 

You have now entered the account shop. Your next step is to click on the button saying “Summoner Name Change.” This will lead you to the final step.

Step 4 

You must complete the final and final step. Write your new summoner name Enter the information in the area marked by a red square on the photo. Before you make payment for your name, verify that it is valid. To do this, click “Name.” 

Two options are available for changing your name. Either change your name by using Riot points 1300 RPYou can either pay with blue essence or cash 139000 BE. 

Once you have selected your payment option by clicking on the button fitting to your choice, you should have a new, hopefully, less cringe, name. Congrats!

How to Change your LoL Name Freely

If you are looking for a simple way to make a difference, Minor adjustments to your Summoner Name, you don’t have to pay in-game currency to change it. Here are the steps to change your League of Legends name for free.

1. Open the Riot Games Support Website
2. Choose “General Question” as your request type
3. In the subject, write “Summoner Name Change.”
4. In the description, please write the current summoner and the new summoner names you would like to change.

After all the information has been submitted, you should see your request as follows:
