Riot’s last attempt to make changes to Master Yi went well, as we all know. Those nerfs ended up being huge Bumps were quickly restored, and the low-elo Jungler was back to his normal self. They are now trying again.

LoL Patch 12.13 It’s not going to just bring us a whole new way of living. bot lane champion Nilah?, nor Star Guardian skinsThis is not all. Master Yi, every bronze player’s nightmare will also see a slight overhaul… well, one ability. Let’s take a look.

Master Yi W – Meditate Update

Let’s start by looking at the larger of the two changes currently affecting Master Yi on the public Beta Servers. What has the balance team done for Master Yi?

  • Meditate (W).
    • Mana cost has increased from 50 to 40 and 6% maximum mana per second
    • Grants 60% tenacity to the first.5 second
    • Cooldown decreased from 28 seconds down to 9

The cooldown reduction of the ability is huge and could be a huge advantage in fights Master Yi will have more opportunities to heal up. You can use the ability twice to recover a bit.

More Master Yi Changes on PBE

Players aren’t talking only about the changes to his W. Master Yi also got an increase in his attack range which makes him feel more comfortable and easier to maneuver. His attack range was increased from the 125 to 175 PBE This makes him much more fun to play in the jungle.

Also in lane, it helps with last hitting minions and we all know that Master Yi loves to  build attack speed and attack a lot and fast, so a bit more range on his auto’s is going to have a huge impact on the champion on all levels.

Master Yi appears to have also reworked his blink logic when he emerges from Alpha Strike. Instead of being glued to your opponent, you can now influence where your opponent appears with your mouseclick. This is a great buff for highly skilled players but not so much for the plebs who love the champion.

Will you test Master Yi when Patch 12.13 is released in July? Or will you? Stay true to Nilah You can see the insane new melee bot lane in the bot lane.
